Takamura ha Shindō Yōshin Ryū Jūjutsu
Founded in 1864 by Matsuoka Katsunosuke (1836-1898), Shindo Yoshin Ryū is a “Sōgō Bujutsu”. This means that the school is a comprehensive art which incorporates multiple forms of armed and unarmed combat as well as strategy.
Our Koryū enjoys an unbroken lineage since the time of its founding to the branch our Study group belongs to being that passed to us by Takamura Yukiyoshi.
Our group's primary focus is on the historical preservation of this art. Our style is now headed by our Kaicho, Toby Threadgill. We also retain close ties with the only authorized TSYR Dojo in Canada, Kangetsu Dojo
